7 Best Juice Diet Recipes for Weight Loss

Losing weight is something that needs lots of determination, but not determination alone, you also need to find the right way that will help you get the desired results. Juicing is considered to be one of the best ways to lose weight successfully. Mother Nature offers so many fruits and vegetables, which if you include in your diet in the right way, you surely will be able to get rid of those extra pounds.

Juice Diet Recipes for Weight Loss

Juices have lots of micro-nutrients in them and are very low in calories. The best thing about juice diet is that it does not contain any fat. It is moreover rich in vitamins, minerals and enzymes. It acts as appetite suppressant and will thus help you lose weight. Together with helping you lose weight it will also provide your body with all essential nutrients. Below are given 7 best (in our opinion) juice diet recipes that you can prepare to lose weight naturally

Take a juicer jar and add all the cut vegetables in it and process till they are properly blended. Add sea salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Spinach and Apple Juice

Yellow Pepper and Grapefruit Juice

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 small kiwi
  • ½ inch fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 small beet
  • 5-7 drops stevia
grapefruit for juice

Cut the fruits and vegetables, and add them in your juicer jar. Blend for about 5-10 minutes to blend them properly. Add few drops of stevia to get a mild sweet taste, and enjoy this delicious weight loss juice.

Lemon and Watermelon Juice

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup watermelon ( with seeds)
  • 1 tea spoon mint leaves
lemon juice

Take your blender and add all the ingredients. Blend till you can see a red mass in the blender jar. Add a little crushed ice in a glass, pour the juice, and garnish it with mint leaves. Your weight loss nutritious drink is ready. Since watermelon is so rich in water content, it makes this drink a great source of water, if you do not drink enough of it through the day.

Pomegranate and Lychee Juice

  • 1 cup peeled and deseeded lychee
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Add the ingredients in your blender jar and keep blending till you get a consistent mix. To make the drink more refreshing you can add some crushed ice. Pour the drink in a tall glass and decorate with pomegranate seeds.

These drinks will relax you and provide your body with all necessary nutrients. Together with helping you shed off extra pounds, these juices will also make your skin glow and slow down the process of aging. Make sure you drink a glass of juice 20 minutes before each meal, as it will reduce your appetite, thus aiding in weight loss.

About the Author: Hey, I’m Dima and I love juicing. When I was a kid, fruits and vegetables weren’t something I was very excited about. I was much more passionate about eating meatballs with spaghetti than I was about a salad of any kind :). A few years ago I discovered juicing that not only had an effect on my daily meals, my health, and my looks but also on my entire lifestyle. And I share with you all my knowledge and tips.

By using these juices. within how many days we can lose weight?

    • admin says:

Hi! It’s hard to precise. It’s all depends on how much do you want to lose and what’s your body condition at that moment. But if you build the plan and drink juice 20 minutes before each meal, the results will appear very soon. You’ll start to eat much less general food.

      • Bob Sally says:

Hi, yes, you said you’ll start to eat much less general food. what about colonel food or lieutenant food?

        • Christina Major says:

          Hey Bob Sally!

We recommend sticking to the general food. We heard that some of the colonel food could be a bit greasy and the lieutenant foods are just gamey.

Did lemon juice reduce the weight?

    • Dima says:

      Hello, Jayz!

We have a great article on that topic here: The Truth Behind Drinking Lemon Water. But anyway, if you already asked me here, I’ll try to answer you:).

Drinking lemon juice alone will not help you to lose weight without changing your everyday eating and excercising habits. It’s not some miracle weight loss cure but it can help you to speed up your weight loss
together with a proper weight loss plan. Although I have to warn you that if your digestive system is not working correctly, healthy weight loss is almost impossible. Poor digestion can stop your body from getting the nutrients it needs to burn fat and it can also cause a build-up of toxins in your body. This slows down your metabolism, making any weight loss goals unattainable. So it’s better to check your digestive system before starting any diet or method.

There are a lot of benefits in lemons and lemon juice that may contribute to your weight loss. Lemons are rich in citric acid (7-8%) which combines in a complex interaction with other acids and enzymes to ensure healthy digestion by stimulating stomach juice. Thanks to its acidity lemon juice can improve your digestion and lower the impact of any meal on your blood sugar. Lemon’s high acidity helps the body absorb calcium, which is then stored in fat cells. The more calcium there is in a fat cell, the more fat the cells burn.

When I eat some junk food by myself (it also happens:)) or simply feel “full”, I usually drink a lemon juice from one lemon, lemon water or even eat half or whole lemon and feel much better. Yes, eating a whole lemon can erode your tooth enamel, but I do it only when I’m lazy to squeeze it:) (not often). It’s better to drink it through a straw of course.

Lemon water also helps out the digestive system by reducing the chances for diarrhea and constipation, because it promotes fluid bowel functions. Because of pectin fiber’s presence in lemon, lemon water has the effect of reducing your hunger. So if you drink lemon water regularly, it’s cleaned out of your bowels with greater frequency. The result of this is that you will lose some weight just from the removal of this lingering waste. Drinking lemon water also ensures that some of the toxins in your body are cleaned out and promotes quick bursts of energy.

The juice from one lemon contains just 11 calories, so you can sip all-natural flavored water throughout the day without expanding your waistline. Imagine further that you replace your regular drinks with lemon water every day for months or even a year. This absence of calories you would otherwise take in from other kinds of drinks will go a long way to helping you lose weight.

Drinking lemon juice ups your vitamin C intake, which might help with some aspects of weight loss. Vitamin C might also help you work out harder, according to a study published in “Nutrition”.

Drinking lemon water in the morning helps to activate your body’s detoxifying process and also its natural cleansing processes. As a recipe you can squeeze the juice of one fresh lemon into a cup, add warm water and drink that each morning before drinking or eating anything else. Add variety by steeping your water with fresh herbs, like mint, basil or cilantro. And never drink the lemon juice from a bottle or plastic container from a grocery store.

      Hope it helps. Thank you!

  • Snehal Goge says:

I live in Maharashtra and most of the ingredients required for the above juice recipies are not available here plz help me if i can have any substitutes regarding this vegetables……..

    • Dima says:

      Hello, Snehal Goge!

I understand your problem. I tried to find what vegetables and fruits in Maharashtra are similar to those I mentioned in recipes but didn’t find much information. The problem is that I’m not familiar with many of those Indian fruit and vegetable names:). I’m not from India. The best is to find recipes specific to the area you live in. Don’t make juices based on fruits and vegetables from abroad, you won’t get many benefits from that, especially if those fruits and vegetables are not fresh because of long transportation. You don’t need to use all of the ingredients, try only the main ones. For example, ivy gourd is similar to watermelon, limes is similar to lemons (that what I found). Some of my mentioned fruits you have in Maharashtra (pomegranates, apples). Try to think of main fruits and vegetables substitutes. What are the similarities to tomatoes, cucumbers, beets and carrots in India? Try to make your own recipes based on these above. I’m very sorry that I cannot help you much.

      Thank you!

    • Dima says:

Juicing can contribute to health and weight loss without being the only thing you consume. Drinking a fresh green juice before a workout is a great way to provide your body with the energy it needs. Here are some good recipes for fresh juices you can drink before your training.

      Pre-Workout Juice recipe 1:
Handful of Spinach, Handful of Parsley, 2-3 Kale Leaves, 2 Apples

      Pre-Workout Juice recipe 2:
      2 Celery stalks, 2 apples, 1 cucumber

The combination of beets and carrots is also good to drink before workout. Those are full with antioxidants and nutrients the body needs to use the oxygen in the most effective way while exercising.
There are good juicing combinations you can drink after you exercise as well. Those juices will help you dehydrate yourself and repair your muscles.

      Recipes for after-work out juice:

Post work out juice recipe 1:
1 Cucumber, 1 Fennel, 5-6 Celery stalks, 1/4 pineapple, mint leaves and ginger.

Post work out juice recipe 2:
3-4 Celery stalks, 1 cup of blueberries, 1 cup of grapes.

Hope you enjoy juicing and see impressing results very soon.

Juicing can contribute greatly to weight loss , however whether you will be able to lose the belly fat also depends on your overall life style. • Abigail says:

Hi! I weigh 156 pounds and want to lose 15. Do you think the watermelon juice before every meal would work? And is there any specific meal guide I need to go by? Thanks!

    • Christina Major says:

      Hi, Abigail!

      Thanks for asking your question.

There are many considerations to losing weight. At 156lb, you could be underweight, overweight, or just right. It all depends on your height, muscle tone, and overall health. So, we really can’t comment on whether you should be losing 15 lbs.

As for the watermelon juice, drinking that much juice will cause gastric distress. You will see diarrhea, cramps, and reflux. We recommend no more than 18oz serving of watermelon juice per day, so long as you are not seeing any of these symptoms.

Plus, focusing on just one food will cause nutritional deficiencies that could cause weight gain as your body struggles to retain as many nutrients as possible. By restricting yourself, you actually train your body to gain weight because you just tricked into thinking you are starving. A well rounded and varied diet, with many different juices and vegetables, will aid you in your weight goals much faster than focusing on just 1.

      Hope it helps.

  • Parveen Sharma says:

I liked your concept but have a querry. how we can know to which person we can give what juice?

    • Christina Major says:

      Hi Parveen!

      Thanks for the question.

Most people can drink any juice they have available to them as long as they are not allergic to the fruit or have sugar issues.

We recommend continuing to rotate through various juices so you continue to get as many nutrients as possible.

As you move towards a healthier diet that is filled with fruits and vegetables, you’ll find that health issues, such as extra weight and diabetes, can fade away.

  • Adam says:

  • Steve Mackay says:

I am struggling with my overweight issue for almost over a year now. Thanks for sharing such diversed juicing recipes. I think if I can manage to try one juice a day over weekdays it will be easy for me to loose weight naturally.

    • Christina Major says:

      Hey Steve!

You are certainly not alone in trying to lose weight.

Juicing will definitely help because it adds many nutrients to your diet, which will reduce your desire to eat a lot of foods.

With a diet that is rich in vegetables and good exercise, we’re sure you’ll see your weight issues resolved.

And good job for trying a lot of different juices, because this will add a lot of different nutrients to your diet. Remember to keep them tasty so you continue to drink them.

And once you lose the weight, you can continue juicing to keep all those healthy nutrients to your diet.

  • Sandhya says:

Is it recommended to drink all the juices in one day ?

    • Dima says:

      Hey, Sandhya!

I’m glad you asked this question. It is possible to drink all the juices in one day, but we recommend combining the juices with a healthy diet. That way you get the nutrients you need and you keep your metabolism going at a high rate of speed. See what feels right with your body and your health condition at that moment. If you feel this is too much juice, pull back. If you can handle it all, go for it.

      Hope it helps. Thank you!

  • Allyn says:

I recently purchased a powder Organic Juice, which beet root, aloe vera leaf and basically the top vegetables and fruits that highly beneficial (cauliflower, Moringa leaf, chlorella & spirulina, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, carrot, cranberry, cherry, pomegranate, açaí, banana, pineapple & papaya, tomato, cabbage, kale…..I think you get the idea that this basically covers 5-9 servings of fruit & vegetables a day. Apple, lemon peel & orange peel fiber. Ginseng extract, green tea leaf. Probiotic blend dairy free organic ingredients, with enzyme. ** Is this a good product to invest in until I’m able to purchase my juice? I’m currently saving for a juicer.

    Thank you

    • Christina Major says:

      Hey Allyn!

This is an excellent question to ask. All of the fruits, vegetables, and herbs mentioned here are all very healthy. The biggest question we would ask is how they were prepared? The high heat preparation used in many processes, including organic ones, can degrade many of the nutrients. Also, juice should only be a part of your daily intake of fruits and vegetables. Your body still needs to consume several servings of fruits and vegetables every day to get proper fibers and the other nutrients that are bound up in the fibers. Many of those do not transfer over to the juice. Organic is good, and we would you recommend using organic vegetables and products when possible. Until you get a right and proper juicer, using a blender and blending up the fruits and vegetables would be better than purchasing an expensive powder. It will allow you to experiment with flavors and combinations.

      Thank you!

  • Kumar says:

Weather I can drink this weight loss juice at evening time it’s around 7 pm to 8 pm or not.

    • Christina Major says:

      Hey Kumar!

This is a good question. We do not recommend drinking juices late in the evening for several reasons. The first is that the digestive system is beginning to shut down for the night and the nutrients are not well absorbed. Secondly, juices tend to be a little bit higher in sugars than regular food, and it may cause sleeping problems as your body tries to metabolize the sugars. It is better to drink the juices in the morning and early afternoon to get the most benefits.

  • by the latest science. says:

And they do not cause the rebound weight gain common to all the other rapid weight loss systems that are not

    • Christina Major says:

      Hey, by the latest science!

Any diet that is followed as a lifestyle plan and provides all the nutrients you need can give you long lasting weight loss. However, if you go back to the way you were eating when you gain weight, you’re going to gain the weight back again. Fortunately, juicing is an easy way to get nutrients, tends to be balanced, and can be followed for a lifetime. Because you’re getting in more vegetables and fruits, it’s easier to keep up with as planned and keep the weight off.
