Many things are hyped up to be the best thing for health news. Without a doubt, we think apple cider vinegar (ACV) is in the top 5. We think you should be drinking this amazing fluid. But, be warned, there are some things you want to watch out for. As great as apple cider vinegar is, it is an acid and can cause problems.
We’re going to highlight the best health benefits (and there are a lot of them) and some of the risks of drinking apple cider vinegar. Don’t worry, unless you are allergic to apples, the risks are very small – and if you are allergic to apples, don’t drink apple cider vinegar at all.
What is Apple Cider Vinegar?
The origin stories of this astonishing drink are a little dreary. As unpleasant as it sounds, apple cider vinegar is really just rotting apple cider. Certain types of bacteria and yeasts, known as vinegar yeast, slowly turn the sugars into alcohol (a minuscule amount) and acetic acid. Many of the bi-products of the digestion of sugars and the apple cider itself are very healthy for our bodies.
But, once people tasted the vinegar and realized it helped preserve food, it became very popular. Unlike the processed and canned vinegar, natural vinegar has a slightly sweet undertone and rich flavors to accompany the sharp acetic acid taste.
In the late middle ages through to the technological revolution of our time, vinegar was medicine, food preservation, and the height of sophistication. In the 1800's, aperitif and digestives were centerpieces of high society meals. These were vinegar drinks flavored with alcohol, fruit juices, and spices to help stimulate the appetite and properly digest fatty and sugary foods. They were served in special crystal tumblers and having smooth and unique flavors showed off a person’s wealth and business connections. Even in middle-class homes, simple digestives were served with meals.
There are two main types of apple cider vinegar: refined and raw apple cider vinegar. The type we're going to be talking about here that has the most health benefits is the raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Sometimes, this is known as apple cider vinegar with the mother.
For people who are conscious about bacteria contamination, this is unpasteurized cider vinegar. It comes from unpasteurized apple cider. For people with compromised immune systems, you should be careful with raw vinegar. While the chance is small and rare, you could become sick.
The great thing about apple cider vinegar is that the vinegar itself is one of the strongest antibacterial and antiviral agents we currently have. Some studies show the germ-fighting power of vinegar equals or exceeds bleach. Except for the vinegar yeasts, very little can survive.
Many types of apple cider vinegar with the mother are organic because the pesticides and herbicides used on commercial apples tend to kill the vinegar yeasts. Bragg's is one of the top names in apple cider vinegar and it can be found nearly everywhere. Other brand name varieties include Eden, Viva Naturals, and Spectrum.
We have a few recipes later on about how you can make your own apple cider vinegar. The basic process is simply leaving apple cider to ferment. In the wild, there are natural bacteria and yeasts that will settle in the apple cider vinegar and create vinegar. Industrially, large vats of apple cider are inoculated with a previous batch of apple cider vinegar. You can scale this down and add a little vinegar to cider. The natural bacteria and yeast will begin working on the apple cider so you don't have foreign contamination. Do make sure the place you get the cider from practices safe handling to avoid contamination.
The only thing, apple cider vinegar should contain is apple cider, vinegar, and probiotics. The mother also called the SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast), is a mat of bacteria and yeasts in a cellulose structure that process the sugars of the cider to form vinegar. There has been some research to see if the SCOBY is acceptable for adding probiotics to people diet. However, it has not turned up many results. Besides, the SCOBY doesn’t taste very good.
We're going to stick to talking about how apple cider vinegar is good for you. Remember, we're talking about the living vinegar with the mother. The commercial chemically made vinegar are not the same and will not give you the health benefits.

But, just because its apple cider vinegar doesn't mean it will actually work. The best type of apple cider vinegar is a natural living fluid that still has the mother in it. That way you get the probiotics and the nutrients. Regrettably, many types of apple cider vinegar found in the grocery stores are not actually apple cider vinegar, but white vinegar that has been flavored. Only by getting apple cider vinegar with the mother, you can guarantee that you are getting all of the benefits of apple cider.
How to Drink Apple Cider Vinegar?
I know people that can take a spoonful of apple cider vinegar straight and enjoy the taste, but most people need to mix their apple cider vinegar and water together. In fact, that is far better. Apple cider vinegar is acidic and if you allow it on your teeth, it could erode the enamel. Over time, this causes severe teeth problems.
The proper dosage of apple cider vinegar in a healthy person is generally 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon mixed with water or food throughout the day. In the past, many foods were preserved with vinegar and vinegar was used very often used in cooking. People didn't have to worry about taking additional supplementation as we do now. Our food has become too sweet and too bland.
Many websites will recommend more vinegar than this. For most people, the taste is off-putting when the vinegar is too strong. Start with a weak drink and work your way to 1 tablespoon. There is no evidence that a stronger drink gives any more benefit.
You should take apple cider vinegar in the morning. That is the best time to encourage your stomach acid to produce correctly and to encourage good digestion. Start off with ½ teaspoon of vinegar in 8 oz of water. Make sure to drink the solution at least a half hour before eating food to preserve your tooth enamel. Slowly increase the amounts from there. You can also add another dose before lunch or dinner.
We want to warn you against using white vinegar. It contains acetic acid, just like the apple cider vinegar, but apple cider vinegar and white vinegar are not the same. There are many more healthy probiotics and nutrients with the apple. White vinegar is a much-distilled product. The same thing is true for apple vinegar. While exceptionally close, apple vinegar is generally made of distilled apple juice rather than apple cider.

It is the apple cider vinegar nutrition that makes all the difference. If you look at the label, all you will see on the labels apple cider vinegar. They don't list out the hundreds and thousands of probiotics, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are found within the apple cider vinegar. It is almost like listing out the ingredients of an apple. An apple is an apple.
The funniest part of looking for the ingredients is that even though science can break down each individual chemical that is found in the apple cider vinegar, none of them, when isolated, produce the same health benefits as living apple cider vinegar does altogether.
Safety & Effectiveness
Overall, apple cider vinegar is completely safe. There are very few health risks associated with apple cider vinegar and most of them come from an allergic reaction. If you were allergic to apples, vinegar, or have an issue with certain bacteria, you may not be able to take apple cider vinegar.
There are detractors that say apple cider vinegar may be bad for you, but most of them are just someone saying apple cider causes diarrhea or can hurt your stomach based on one random incident. One of the old stories about ulcers was apple cider vinegar can cause ulcers because of the high acid content. What they didn't realize is that the bacteria H. pylori cause more stomach ulcers and increasing the acid content of the stomach helps get rid of that bacteria and reduces ulcers.
Sometimes when you start taking apple cider vinegar, it may cause a headache. That is because your digestive system is getting a shot of acid which is helpful and a good dose of probiotics. It may cause a mass die-off of bad bacteria in your gut, which can cause headaches and gastric distress.
And in some people who are eating an unhealthy diet, apple cider vinegar may cause diarrhea right away. That is because your system is now receiving good probiotics and it may try and flush out some of the bad stuff.
There is a good and bad opinion about whether apple cider vinegar causes heartburn. Takings apple cider vinegar in the evening may cause your heartburn to increase. That is because you are feeling the acid and your body has not yet started to heal and keep your stomach where it’s supposed to. As your diet improves and your stomach gets used to having more acid, the lining of your stomach and esophagus will begin to heal and function properly. You'll notice your heartburn greatly reduced if you take it in the morning. We have more on that later.
Most people will find that apple cider vinegar will reduce the number of kidney stones they experience. In a few people, apple cider vinegar may cause kidney stones. This is a rare occurrence and usually resolves itself with a change in diet.

We are divided on whether apple cider vinegar tablets are effective, many people have used the tablets for weight loss and have had good results, but we also find that the apple cider vinegar tablets are not as good as the liquid. That is because many manufacturers pasteurize the vinegar or use chemically derived acetic acid rather than true apple cider vinegar. The vast majority of people can handle drinking apple cider vinegar in extremely diluted amounts and we find this is the healthiest way.
What Makes Apple Cider Vinegar So Great?

Apple Cider Vinegar Myths
Being such a wonderful substance, apple cider vinegar has surrounded itself with multiple myths. Right off the bat, we want to say NO, apple cider vinegar is not the product of witches. For a long time in Europe, wine going bad was thought to be a curse. Fortunately, we know this is not the case.
Alkalinity
Another strange myth is that apple cider vinegar promotes alkalinity. Apple cider vinegar has a pH of approximately 3. This is extremely high acidic ranking, just barely higher than stomach acid. Alkaline is greater than 7. Not only is the myth of blood alkalinity completely false, the benefits of apple cider do not come from any kind of alkalinity outcome.

What we don't recommend taking apple cider vinegar at night because some people may experience gastrointestinal problems. Apple cider vinegar in the morning is extremely helpful. By digesting food properly, it will help you to lose weight.
For people who cannot stand the taste of apple cider vinegar, some may use apple cider vinegar pills *. You will have to research the individual companies before you purchase the pill to make sure that you are getting true apple cider vinegar with the probiotic contact. Or else, you just get partial benefits.
What Does Apple Cider Vinegar Cure?
Nothing. By law, we have to say that. However, apple cider vinegar remedies abound on the internet, and we want to share a few of the ways ACV helps the body! There is so much that apple cider is good for that we just can't cover it in one article. Here are the highlights.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Edema and Lymphedema
Edema is caused by excessive fluid gathering in certain parts of the body, which make it appear swollen. Most people experience edema in their legs and hands. Lymphedema is where drainage from the tissue through the lymph vessels is impaired and they become swollen and tender. There are many causes of edema and most of the time doctors will prescribe pharmaceuticals, mostly diuretics, to help take care of it.
Diet and exercise are two of the best things you can do for edema; apple cider vinegar is part of the dietary changes that will make you healthy. Because of all of the wonderful thing apple cider vinegar does for the body, it accelerates good changes. It can help stimulate proper blood flow, good blood pressure, and kidney cleansing that will allow the body to flush out extra fluids. Combined with a healthy diet and recommendations from your doctor, apple cider vinegar will truly help you.
But do be careful if you are using diuretics. In most people, there is no interaction, but it could cause the body to release too much fluid too fast causing dehydration.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Pink Eye
Conjunctivitis, or pink eye, is an eye disorder that results when the conjunctiva, or outer layer, of the eye, becomes inflamed. Generally, it causes the eye to appear swollen, red, and it may develop a crust. For the most part, pink eye will resolve itself within a week to 10 days. It is highly contagious, so be careful around other people.
One of the best treatments for conjunctivitis is apple cider vinegar. Take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with one tablespoon of honey in a cup of warm water. Drinking it 3 times per day helps flush out many of the bacteria and infectious organisms that can be causing conjunctivitis. It will help your system to re-balance your natural pH levels and make it hostile to infectious organisms.
Do not rinse your eye with the vinegar.
If you have a mucus crust built up around your eyes, you can dilute the apple cider vinegar by taking one teaspoon of vinegar to 1 cup of clean, warm water with a pinch of salt in it. Dip a sterile cotton ball in the solution and clean around your eye. If you get the apple cider vinegar in your eyes, it may cause pain and other problems.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Laryngitis

Taking the standard preparation of one tablespoon of vinegar to 1 cup of water, drink this twice per day preferably before breakfast and lunch. You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper and a little bit of honey to increase the effect of the vinegar.
You can also gargle with the apple cider vinegar, adding one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to a cup of warm water, plus a pinch of salt will help kill bacteria in your throat. You can gargle with this mixture as often as you want.
Just a word of warning:
Never use pure vinegar in your mouth.
It could erode the tooth enamel.
Avoid brushing your teeth or eating anything within a half hour of using the vinegar.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Gout
A gout is a form of inflammation that develops when people retain high levels of uric acid in their body. This acid crystallizes out of the blood within the joints and causes pain, tenderness, and swelling. Doctors will prescribe anti-inflammatory medications and a diet change to help relieve the symptoms of gout.
Apple cider vinegar works on the actual problem. The vinegar is filled with toxin releasing nutrients, like potassium, iron, and calcium. The acetic acid helps break up gout and balances the pH in the blood.
Some medical websites dispute this claim and the studies of gout do not show how the vinegar helps. The general results show a reduction in pain, swelling, and uric acid deposits. Some people feel relief within 15 minutes of drinking the vinegar.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Thrush
Thrush is the common name for oropharyngeal candidiasis. It often appears as a thick white, creamy coating on your tongue and teeth. It is often caused by consuming too many sugary foods over too long of a time. It is exceptionally similar to a vaginal yeast infection.
Vinegar with the mother helps provide enzymes that can fight the fungal infection and restore acidic pH back to normal within the mouth. The standard recipe for one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in one cup of water can be drunk twice a day to work systematically. You may also rinse your mouth out with the mixture of one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in one cup of water with a pinch of salt added.
Do not brush after using the vinegar for at least half an hour. The vinegar may damage your tooth enamel. Be sure to let your dentist know you are using vinegar so they may check for damage.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Weight Loss
Apple cider vinegar does not directly cause weight loss. What it does is helps the body rebalance itself and digest food properly. You do not crave as much food and therefore you eat less. It also helps clean out many of the organs so they function properly.
When your body feels good, it can help release many of the bloating by-products and toxins that cause weight gain. Many people find that apple cider vinegar does flatten their stomachs since it is one of the few supplements that you can take that helps the release of the bad types of fat that cause a fluffy stomach.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Sinuses Issues
Many sinus and nose problems can range from simple allergies all the way through a sinus infection. Sinusitis is a sinus infection. It commonly occurs when the sinuses become blocked because of an excess of mucus and bacteria.
Apple cider vinegar taken in the standard formula helps provide a lot of vitamins and minerals, especially potassium and magnesium, that helps the immune system clear out the infection.
You can also breathe the apple cider vinegar. Place about a quarter of a cup of apple cider vinegar in the bottom of a mug. Pour over the apple cider vinegar boiling water. Breathe in the vapors. Several websites recommend snorting some of the mixtures into your sinuses, however, this can cause pneumonia if done improperly.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Arthritis
One of the oldest arthritis relief medicines was vinegar. The acetic acid in the vinegar helps the body absorbs calcium, potassium, and magnesium. The probiotics also help the digestive system process more food. Along with healthy changes in your diet, you will find the apple cider vinegar works quickly to help reduce the swelling and other issues with arthritis.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Feet
When it comes to athlete’s foot or stinky feet, vinegar is a great solution. Because of the antibacterial actions, it can help disinfect the feet and reduce foot odor.
Simply soak your feet in full strength apple cider vinegar for 10 to 15 minutes daily. Once the infection is no longer noticeable make sure you continue to soak the affected area for another 2 weeks.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Digestion
Apple cider vinegar helps digestion in multiple ways. Because of the healthy probiotics in apple cider vinegar, it can help balance the bacteria in your digestive system. Candida infections are rampant in people who are eating processed foods and high sugar diets. Using the apple cider vinegar for candida can help dramatically, like with the thrush. The apple cider vinegar helps provide enzymes for proper digestion and balances the pH of your digestive system.
Apple Cider Vinegar for IBS
Irritable bowel is a mixture of symptoms that include diarrhea, pain, constipation and fluctuation in stool consistency. It can include bloating, gas, and the need to run to the bathroom.
Many of the problems start in the stomach. Because you need the proper enzymes and stomach acid to break down your food before it enters the digestive system, low stomach acid can mean your food passes through your intestine without being digested. This causes all sorts of problems, including feeding the less desirable bacteria like the candidia or E coli.
Apple cider vinegar supplies some of the enzymes to break down your food and helps your stomach begin producing more of its own natural stomach acids. If you are worried about indigestion or heartburn, we suggest you read on to show how apple side of vinegar actually produces many of these problems.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Bloating
Along with other digestive problems and is apple cider vinegar reduces bloating by balancing the bacteria within your digestive system. The vinegar will help promote many of the proper bacteria and reduce the noxious gas producing ones. By balancing the bacteria, you also reduce the swelling within the gut. It will also help clean out the kidneys, which will allow you to process fluids better, including the release of fluid.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Cold Sores
Cold sores are the outward manifestation of the herpes simplex virus. Primarily, the virus lives on nerve cells and is usually dormant. Unfortunately, we can't completely get rid of the virus once we are infected.
Here is where apple cider vinegar steps in. Because of its ability to fight viral infections, it helps reduce the outward manifestation of the cold sore. It will also help dry out the skin so the scab falls off faster.
Drinking apple cider vinegar will help prevent the outbreak of the infection. Wiping the area with the apple cider vinegar will help reduce signs of the active infection.
There are no definitive double-blind studies to show apple cider vinegar works because vinegar is such a unique and identifiable smell. People know they are using it. In surveys and case studies, apple cider vinegar works without side effects.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Heartburn
Heartburn or acid reflux is a condition where the stomach acid leaks into the esophagus. It may seem counter intuitive to add more acid to an acid problem until you realize why the acid is leaking into the stomach.
For most people, acid reflux and heartburn are caused by the stomach not being able to digest food properly. There is not enough stomach acid, to begin with, there is too much food, or the food has not been chewed properly. Because the stomach can not empty properly and there is too much solid food, the esophageal sphincter cannot close properly and it allows some of the acid to splash into the esophagus.
Antacids * help reduce the problem in the immediate. They neutralize the acid, calm the stomach muscles, and make people feel better. But, without stomach contractions and acid, the food still isn’t being digested. In the long run, it helps to repress the production of stomach acid and makes the problem even worse.
Apple cider vinegar does the opposite. It adds acid to the stomach, which will allow the stomach to process the food better. When the stomach works better, it does not need to open up to the esophagus and cause heartburn. Taking vinegar in the morning helps the body produce proper amounts of acid all day.
Many old recipes for digestives and appetites are available online and they were based around vinegar to help digestion.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Colds
Did you know 70 percent of our immune system is in our digestive system? When you use apple cider vinegar to balance and heal your digestive system, you allow your immune system to relax and fight the real infections. The natural probiotics within the vinegar and in your digestive system help repel and destroy any invading bacteria and viruses.
But if you have a cold, it works in another way. Apple cider vinegar will help open up your sinuses, remove bacteria from your throat, relax your lungs, and clean out your kidneys. This all helps your body to remove toxins from the defeated bacteria.
Fortunately, when you're sick, you can't actually smell how bad the vinegar is.
Apple Cider Vinegar for UTI
A urinary tract infection affects the whole urinary system. Everything from the bladder to the kidneys and the ureters in between can become infected. If untreated, it can cause painful urination, fever, chills fatigue, and even death. Women experience UTIs more than men, although men seem to have more pain.
Cranberry juice is the most popular and effective way to get rid of a bladder infection. Naturally, apple cider vinegar is not far behind. The reason for this is both the cranberry juice and the apple cider vinegar acidify the urine. When the urine is very acidic, bacteria cannot grow. In a healthy person, your urine is naturally between a pH of 5 and 6. If your pH levels are too low, it may indicate a diabetes problem. If your urine pH is too high, it may indicate kidney stones, another form of diabetes, cancer, and kidney infection.
The best way to use apple cider vinegar is to simply drink it using the standard formula we have of one tablespoon to 1 cup of water. You can also use a diluted apple cider rinse of just half apple cider vinegar and half water to clean your genital area. You can even use a sitz bath of one quarter apple cider vinegar to 3 quarters water. The vagina likes a slightly acidic environment.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Teeth
If you drink a lot of apple cider vinegar, it may cause the erosion of the enamel on your teeth. That is why we recommend diluting the apple cider vinegar in water before you drink it. We also recommend diluting any form of vinegar you use as a gargle or rinse in your mouth in order to avoid damage to your teeth.
We’ve repeated this several times because it is so important for your health.
Currently, there are no studies to show that apple cider vinegar benefits your teeth. There are many websites that claim you should rinse with vinegar and clean your teeth immediately after using the vinegar. Along with most dentists and all of the dental websites, we recommend that you wait at least a half hour before brushing or flossing your teeth after rinsing with apple cider vinegar.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Tonsil Stones
Tonsil stones are calcified remnants of harmful bacteria and other wastes that are being expelled from the tonsils. Gargling with a solution of one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water with a pinch of salt will help to remove the bacteria that cause tonsil stones.
Drinking apple cider vinegar daily also helps remove some of the waste products from your body that may cause the tonsil stones.
Apple Cider Vinegar to Stop Period
Drinking apple cider vinegar will help reduce the pain and irritation from your period. In some women, it may also reduce the amount of bleeding that happens. However, it will not stop your period.
Some websites recommend taking several tablespoons of vinegar multiple times a day in order to stop yours. Unfortunately, there is no science to back up that this will stop your period and it may cause other health problems.
If you have heavy periods or regular periods, we recommend talking to your doctor. Adding the standard solution of one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in one cup of water to your diet per day, you'll help regulate your system so that your periods come naturally and healthy.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Cancer
It's hard to tell the various differences on different websites that claim cancer is cured by apple cider vinegar. They all seem to make fantastical claims without much evidence to back it up.
We have to agree that there is no scientific evidence that will show apple cider vinegar reduces or prevents cancer. However, we have to agree that all of the side effects of cancer treatments and what cancer does to your body will be helped by drinking apple cider vinegar.

Apple Cider Vinegar Canker Sore
The popular remedy to remove canker sores using apple cider vinegar is one that has been around a long time and does work. It is not for the faint of heart. We recommend dipping a cotton swab into raw organic apple cider and applying it directly to the canker sore. You can do this several times a day until the canker sore is gone. Be sure to avoid touching your teeth with the vinegar.
We do not recommend rinsing with apple cider vinegar to get rid of canker sores because it is such a small area and the risk to the enamel of your mouth is much greater.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Blood Pressure
There are many causes of high blood pressure. Most of them can be cured by eating a healthy diet and getting regular exercise. By adding apple cider vinegar to your diet, you can help balance many of the problems that are affecting your heart and blood vessels.
Because apple cider vinegar contains potassium and magnesium, it can help relax the arteries and capillaries, reduce the force at which your heart beats, and balance the negative factors affecting your life. This helps to reduce your blood pressure and moves you towards a healthy position.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Bad Cholesterol
Cholesterol has a lot to do with the amount of inflammation in your body and the amount of damage that has been done. Apple cider vinegar helps reduce inflammation.
The vinegar will also help reduce the oxidation of the low-density lipoproteins (LDL) that cause plaque formation. It may also help reduce the amount of plaque in the arteries by breaking up the clots.

It can help reduce the inflammation and edema that comes with pregnancy. There is some research from Colorado State University that shows that the acetic acid in the vinegar will reduce many foodborne illnesses which could cause a miscarriage.
We do recommend starting off slowly if you are not already drinking apple cider vinegar. Begin with one teaspoon or less in a cup of water and sip slowly. You can increase this to the standard level as you become comfortable. Don't worry, apple cider vinegar won't hurt your baby.
Apple Cider Vinegar and Diabetes
There are several studies that show apple cider vinegar helps stabilize blood glucose and makes insulin more effective in the body. A 2004 study by the Arizona State University shows that apple cider vinegar helps reduce insulin resistance.
Because of the high enzyme and nutrient content, it can also help overcome the craving for sugars. This will also help lead you to a healthier diet.
Apple Cider Vinegar and Gallstones
Gallstones are a serious problem. When they strike, you need to take care of them fast. The malic acid and acetic acid that is found in apple cider vinegar help stop the liver from making cholesterol and pushing on the gallstone. The various acids will also help dissolve the same gallstone. You will need to drink the diluted form of apple cider vinegar as one tablespoon in one cup of water multiple times throughout the day.
It also helps reduce the inflammation that comes with the gallbladder pain. Some anecdotal evidence shows that drinking apple cider vinegar during a gallstone attack can help reduce the pain within 15 minutes.

A good remedy for pimples is using apple cider vinegar as a final cleanse when you wake up and before you go to bed. It helps remove dead skin cells and extra dirt and oils that clog pores. The apple cider vinegar will even help acne scars by encouraging the skin to heal itself and regrow the collagen and skin cells properly.
Your hair benefits even more from the apple cider vinegar as a final rinse after your normal shampoo and condition. The apple cider vinegar will reduce the pH of your scalp, which will reduce dandruff and itching. It will also encourage the hair follicles to close the open pore structure which makes it retain more moisture and have a better look for longer. Just rinse with a cup of diluted vinegar.

If you have curly hair the apple cider vinegar will encourage the sulfide bonds to curl your hair even more. Curly hair is curly because the chemical structure of the keratin is slightly twisted. Various sulfur bonds within the chemical structure are able to bond with each other, and it pulls the hair out of alignment ever so slightly. The more sulfide bonds that are able to connect with each other, the curly your hair will be.
Because apple cider vinegar is highly acidic and extremely antimicrobial, the vinegar is often used for wart removal and for fungus on your feet. It is extremely gentle to the surrounding skin and will not allow the infection to spread as it might using other chemical treatments. Simply submerge the affected area in apple cider vinegar once or twice per day for 20 minutes until the infection is completely removed. We recommend repeating this process for at least 2 weeks afterward to make sure any residual trace is fully eradicated. You can also use apple cider vinegar for jock itch by washing the area multiple times a day with the vinegar.
Apple Cider Vinegar and Your Pets
We're going to start off by saying pets do not like apple cider vinegar; they recognize it instantly as a medicine. That being said it's extremely effective at keeping your pets healthy.
In most cases, you can combine apple cider vinegar and a weak dish soap as a wash. In the past, one of the old time treatments was to use apple cider vinegar for fleas. Merely dump a small cupful of the apple cider vinegar directly onto the roots of the plant you are looking to kill. But you need to be very careful with this remedy because even a drop of apple cider vinegar onto a healthy plant will cause wilting and defoliation. Usually, during that growing season, nothing will grow in that spot. But, it is safe and healthy by next season.
