The reason we don’t give a specific time frame for consuming the aloe vera after surgery is that some surgeries only take a few days to heal, while some of them may take months. Because aloe vera stimulates the bowels as a strong laxative, it can cause serious issues with any surgery, especially ones from mid-chest level through to the hips. Generally, when a person is cleared for full active work and play, then you could start the aloe vera juice. This is an interesting question. The gel from fresh aloe should be consumed immediately. There are many antioxidants that break down and leaving it to sit overnight and then boiling it will destroy many of the healthy components. We don’t recommend leaving it out overnight. We understand that means more work in the morning, however, it would also mean you get more healthy nutrients.
