Hey Sean!

Thanks for your comment. You will find many doctors, dietitians, nutritionist, and people who work with diabetes and heart disease defaming grape juice because of the high sugar content. Also, the grape juice that is found on the grocery store shelves has been so overly processed that none of the healthy products even exist in the bottle anymore. Fresh, organic grape juice has tremendous health benefits, not the stuff that’s months old.

Absolute poppycock...you are about the only one who defames grape juice.Sweet it is but it is proven to remove plaque from artery walls and produces nitric oxide to keep your blood pressure in check, delays the ageing process and is brilliant for cell regeneration.

Hey Marianne,

It is not a specific drink or food that causes diabetes.

It is the quantity and quality of that drink or food.

Eating a diet that has far too many sugars is what causes diabetes. These sugars can come from fruits and vegetables or bad processed food. The result will be the same.

In reply to <a href="https://ifocushealth.com/drinking-grape-juice/#comments/12774">Marianne Lynch</a>.

Hey Marianne,

This is a tricky question.

There is no juice out there that will cause diabetes. It is the quantity and quality of the juices or foods that can cause the conditions that create diabetes.

Here’s the key: type 2 diabetes is caused by an excess of sugars taken over a long period of time.

Juicing can concentrate the sugars of fruits and vegetables. If a person is not careful to balance their diet, they can consume more sugar than their bodies can handle.

This is just as bad as eating a processed food diet. It is not the juice that causes diabetes, rather it is the person not paying attention to their diet.

If you have concerns over the number of sugars you were taking or a diabetes risk, contact a nutritionist.
